NOTES

A herbaceous, perennial plant producing clumps of erect, unbranched, leafy stems that arise from a fleshy, creeping rhizome. The stems can be up to 6-8 feet tall. The bracts are pale yellow in a young inflorescence, becoming red as it matures, especially if it gets some full sun.
