NOTES | Lepidozamia
peroffskyana is a large and handsome palm-like cycad with no spines while
most species of cycads have some type of spines or prickles It is one of two species in the genus
Lepidozamia, the other being Lepidozamia hopei. The species is named after Count Peroffsky
(1794-1857), benefactor of the St. Petersburg Botanical Garden. |
