NOTES | Encephalartos
senticosus is distinguished by its short, straight, keeled leaves often with
re-curved tips and the lowermost 2-4 pairs of leaflets reducing to divided
prickles with almost no bare petiole, and the lack of wool in its crown
around newly emerging leaves. |
GEOGRAPHIC REGION | Lebombo Mountains of Mozambique,
Swaziland and the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. |
NATIVE HABITAT | This species is found
on rocky slopes and forest ravines or on dry exposed cliffs in dry shrubby
savanna along the Lebombo range. |
